Samdech Hun Sen announced on 29 July 2018 as national elections

Phnom Penh (08 August 2016): Speaking at the concrete connection connector bridge crossing Basak in Koh Thom district, Kandal Province On August 08, Samech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia has announced that the date of the election classes will be held on July 29, 2018. He also reaffirmed that there were no elections before July.

On November 13, 2015, Samdech Hun Sen was once reminded of the negotiations on 22 July 2014 that Samdech has asked for a national election in February 2018, but the Cambodian National Rescue Party disagrees. He said that the Constitution can not be edited and the government will use the old electoral law.

CPP and the CNRP had previously agreed in principle that the election mandate 6 will be changed to be announced during February, due in July is the raining season and in some areas to meet the floods difficulty in organizing elections.
